Sensory friendly chill out zone will be available on level 2 indoors for those needing a quite space during the event.
All levels and facilities have wheelchair access so no one misses out.

Indoors
Inside the venue is airconditioned and fitted with flexible furniture to meet the diverse needs of attendees.
Butterbox Theatre
- The Butterbox Theatre features wide entry doors, accessible seating suitable for people who use wheelchairs.
Level 2 Access
- Level 2 is accessible by elevator and staircase and includes a range of spaces, including a PWD bathroom with toilet and shower.
Hush Room
- You can access the Butterbox Hush Room from level 2. This private viewing space is open to any patron who would feel more comfortable viewing a performance from a private space. The sound is transmitted into the room and a volume control switch is on the wall. A lamp is in the corner for soft lighting and can be switched on and off by patrons.
Outdoors
- During large outdoor concerts a platform (36 sqm) is placed on the grounds, facing the stage, to allow mobility devices and wheelchairs to have stability from the uneven grass.
Accessible bathrooms
- Kingston Butter Factory bathrooms include a ‘Changing Places’ facility located inside the renovated butter factory building.
- This facility is a larger-than-standard accessible toilet with an adult-sized changing table, ceiling hoist, a peninsular toilet and privacy screen to meet the various needs of people with complex disabilities. There is also a PWD toilet and parent’s room indoors.
- The outdoor toilet block will be open and will feature non-binary options for attendees.
